SUPPORT & NETWORKING GROUPS

Spectrios Institute's support and networking group is an opportunity for people with low vision, their families and friends to come together to get new information and to share with others with a similar vision loss. Guest speakers are often invited to the group to discuss topics of interest to the group. Spectrios Institute conducts two support/networking groups, one in Carol Stream and one in LaGrange Park.

WHEN AND WHERE:

• The support /networking group in Carol Stream meets on the second Sunday of every month (except May and December) at Belmont Village, 545 Belmont Road, Carol Stream in the Community Room.
• The support /networking group in LaGrange Park meets on the fourth Sunday on the odd number months at Plymouth Place, 315 N. LaGrange Road, LaGrange Park in the Creative Arts Room.

Thess are "open" groups, which means that new members are welcome to come to the group at any time. Individuals are welcome to come as often as they prefer. At the beginning of each meeting introductions are usually given, each person sharing their name, where they are from and their eye condition, if applicable. There is time available to share helpful information as well as to raise question that may be of common concern to the group members.

COST:

This group is a complementary service provided by Spectrios Institute. The group is free of charge!
